The Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway is now available from Vodacom in South Africa. Vodacom is offering Nokia’s wireless 5G WiFi router with a new 5G contract plan as South Africa’s 5G network has recently taken effect.

The Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway provides a solid 5G connection with less latency and high internet speeds. The router uses the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band to connect to terminals. And if you have a large home, you can also connect the router to Nokia WiFi lights, which work together based on the network topology to increase WiFi access points. Nokia also includes a web user interface and an application that is available in the Google Play Store and the Apple Store for local configurations.

Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway specifications:

• Height: 240 mm (9.4 in)
• Width: 140 mm (5.5 in)
• Weight: 2.2 kg (4.9 lb)
• Buttons: Power on/off, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), and reset.
• Multicolor LEDs for status view.
• Connectivity: Wi-Fi, one Nano-SIM slot, three RJ-45 GigE LAN ports, and an USB 3.0 Type-A port.



Visit the Nokia website for more details. Vodacom offers the router from R 699 (€ 35, € 80,280, $ 38) per month, from R9999 (€ 4.4, € 6170, $ 82), based on the plan you choose. You can buy the router all at once, without a plan, for Rs 6,699 (€ 323, ₹ $ 26,750, $ 354), which is a bit expensive.
