HMD Global yesterday unveiled its latest Nokia C3 handset in China priced at Yuan 699 and it can be said that this is an entry level smartphone at a good price.

We previously reported that the Nokia TA-1258 will pass the certification in China, revealing its specifications and test images. Now it seems that the TA-1258 is actually a Nokia C3, which we saw in the Geébench database as Nokia C3 and Gamora Plus. The Nokia C3 will be priced at 999 yuan on a leaked Chinese retailer list posted by Hikari Calyx on Twitter.

The Nokia C3 comes with an Unisoc SC9863A processor and will get 3GB of memory, which is a pretty big improvement over the C1’s 1GB. And they give 32GB of storage space, which can be further expanded with an SD card. Its display is a 5.99-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It will have fairly large coffees at the bottom and top, so there is no question of a sensor island. The most interesting design is that the back snaps off and the battery is traditionally removed. It follows that the back cover is not made of metal either, but of plastic. The rear camera has 8 MP resolution and is also equipped with an LED flash. It also has a fingerprint reader, giving your phone biometric identification. It can be charged via a micro USB port and a 3.5 mm jack is available to connect the headset.

The smartphone has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The only detail that seems a little surprising is the 3040 mAH battery for this budget smartphone.
