HMD Global launches its new Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 4.2 are the latest Nokia smartphones to receive the June 2020 Android security update. The update only includes security fixes for both smartphones.

Nokia 4.2 Security Update Size:
The size of the Nokia 4.2 update is 14.81 MB. You will either be prompted to download the update, or you can check it in the Settings menu by checking for system updates and then checking for the update.
Nokia 8.1 security update size:
The size of the Nokia 8.1 update is 32.06 MB. You will either be prompted to download the update, or you can check it in the Settings menu by checking for system updates and then checking for the update.
Nokia 8.1 and 4.2 June Security Update Change Log:
The change log only mentions the June Android security update for Nokia 8.1 and 4.2. The most serious of these is a critical vulnerability in the System component that allows a remote attacker to use arbitrary code to execute arbitrary code in a privileged process.
HMD has been fairly consistent in releasing monthly security updates and operating system updates for Nokia smartphones already on the market. HMD has also made it clear that all Nokia Android one Phones will receive an OS update of at least two years.
