Nokia 1 and Nokia 9 PureView 2020 Security Update

Nokia 1 and Nokia 9 PureView have now received the May 2020 security update (new Android 10 version). The update includes the new Android 10 Build V5.25A and the May Android security patch for Nokia 9 PureView. Nokia 1 recently received a security update in May.

Nokia 9 PureView May Security Update Size:

The size of the Nokia 9 PureView update is 312 MB. You will either be prompted to download the update, or you can check it in the Settings menu by checking for system updates and then checking for the update.

Nokia Security Update May 1 Size:

The size of the Nokia 1 update is 77.70 MB. You will be prompted to download the update, or you can check it in the Settings menu by checking for system updates and then checking for the update.

Nokia 1 and 9 PureView May Security Update Change Log:

The change log only mentions Nokia’s May 1 Android security update. Nokia 9 PureView gets stability enhancements and unknown user interface enhancements along with Android security patch. The most serious of these is a critical vulnerability in the System component that allows a remote attacker to use arbitrary code to execute arbitrary code in a privileged process.

HMD has been fairly consistent in releasing monthly security updates and operating system updates for Nokia smartphones already on the market. HMD has also made it clear that all Nokia Android one Phones will receive an OS update of at least two years.
