Personal leverages Nokia technology to drive 5G mobile core evolution with multi-vendor strategy

P ersonal is advancing its mobile network modernization, implementing a multi-carrier strategy that strengthens the core and supports the growing demands of the digital ecosystem.

In the first phase, the company will integrate Nokia technology into the 5G mobile core – the brain of data services – in a multi-carrier program, with the goal of expanding capacity, increasing operational flexibility, and maintaining a resilient and scalable infrastructure.

“This evolution envisions the incorporation of an open and disaggregated architecture that responds to its autonomous networks strategy and its consolidation path as a Techco,” the company said.

The initiative includes the deployment of new Nokia nodes and technologies in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) and other regions of the country, with the aim of improving connectivity, enabling services through highly available networks, and responding to different use cases – both for companies, IoT devices and residential customers.
