Espoo, Finland - Nokia announced yesterday its market-leading Smart Node portfolio of 5G Indoor All-in-One Base Stations is powered by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.'s custom chipsets. Leveraging the industry-leading Qualcomm 5G RAN platform for small cells, the product is designed to provide ubiquitous indoor 5G coverage for residential and corporate networks. The new 5G smart node complements Nokia’s 5G small-cell portfolio, such as the AirScale micro-remote radio head and AirScale indoor radio, which are being deployed commercially by many service providers worldwide to increase 5G capacity and coverage.
