The Nokia Mission-Safe Phone 2 is said to offer an extremely rugged body. Nokia is introducing a new smartphone called the Mission-Safe Phone 2, which is being developed without the support of HMD Global. The Mission-Safe Phone 2 is said to get a modernized design, a fast Qualcomm chip and seven years of updates.
While Nokia-branded consumer smartphones, such as the Nokia 105 4G, are developed and sold by HMD Global, Nokia offers the Mission-Safe Phone, a smartphone specifically aimed at industrial customers that differs from traditional smartphones with a rugged body and some unusual features.
The highly reliable leaker MEME'S has already been able to publish the first image and many details about the features of the Nokia Mission-Safe Phone 2. According to the report, Nokia is modernizing the front in particular, as the display will get much thinner bezels, and the 50-megapixel selfie camera will be housed in a hole-punch instead of a notch in the new model. The display size will increase from 6.32 inches to 6.58 inches, and Nokia is said to be installing a display with a 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz frame rate.
The Mission-Safe Phone 2’s body is certified according to IP68 and IP69K standards, making it waterproof, and the MIL-STD-810H certification promises protection against extremely high and low temperatures, as well as vibrations. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen from scratches. On the back, there are pogo pins that allow you to use charging docks and accessories.
The eyelash-shaped camera module not only offers space for two 50-megapixel cameras, but also a laser that is used as a ToF sensor and autofocus support. The smartphone is based on a powerful Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690, supported by 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory. Nokia guarantees three major Android updates and seven years of security patches. The Nokia Mission-Safe Phone 2 is expected to be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2027.
