N okia is offering Londoners a free Christmas tree rental worth £100 as part of its recently launched sustainable phone and tablet subscription service.

To take advantage of the offer, you'll need to sign up for the phone maker's Circular program, which lets you lease a phone for a monthly fee and earn credits that you can use for green causes like environmental charities. You will then receive a £100 Christmas Tree Hire Voucher to spend at Tree2Me who will deliver the tree and collect it after Christmas. Londoners have until December 12 to claim the offer.

Circular aims to make your phone last longer than usual, as Nokia recycles the device when you're done with it or ready to upgrade. Four devices are available in the UK, with prices ranging from £10 per month for the Nokia T10 tablet to £22 per month for the Nokia X30 5G smartphone, with a £30 setup fee.

The system rewards users with more "seeds" the longer they keep the device, and these seeds can be used to support sustainability or charitable efforts around the world - including planting trees or reducing carbon emissions, supporting a company that removes the plastic from the rivers, or a connection to the needy.

HMD Global launched Nokia Circular in September alongside a slew of devices, including the X30 5G, its "greenest smartphone". The device has a 100% recycled aluminum frame, 65% recycled plastic back and is packaged in a 94% recycled paper box.
