Nokia G42 5G with free Nokia TWS-731 headphones can be purchased from July 24 in Poland

HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia phones, announced the upcoming store premiere of the Nokia G42 5G smartphone in Poland, which device will be on store shelves in the original purple color. The advantage of the device is the possibility of self-repair using the QuickFix kit. The device will be available in an interesting purple color and a more traditional gray version.
For the model with a memory configuration of 6 + 128 GB, the manufacturer will sell it at a price of PLN 1199 (GBP 232, EUR 268, USD 298 and INR 24494), which will be available for purchase from July 24. Initially, there will be a special offer - when purchasing this model, customers will receive Nokia TWS-731 headphones. The Nokia G42 5G is another HMD Global smartphone after the G22 that could be improved by the manufacturer thanks to the manufacturer's collaboration with Fixit. The QuickFix system allows you to replace cracked screens, bent charging ports and dead batteries. The whole operation requires only affordable spare parts and prepared repair manuals. Nokia has exited the Russian market due to the Russian embargo
The manufacturer primarily praises the purple version of the phone, which according to WSGN is the color of the year 2023. It also emphasizes that the back of the Nokia G42 5G is made of 65% recycled material, and the packaging is already 100% recycled. The phone is built to last and has undergone rigorous daily crash tests. However, HMD Global does not provide any details about this. However, it is known that the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, and the housing is dust and splash resistant according to the IP52 standard.
The Nokia G42 5G is a 6.56-inch IPS smartphone with HD+ resolution (720 x 1612) and a 90Hz refresh rate. The work power and the 5G connection are provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chip, which is supported by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory in the UFS 2.1 standard. In addition to the 5G Dual SIM, the connection is provided by Wi-Fi 5 ax-ready, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. There is also USB 2.0 Type C and a 3.5 mm audio port. Positioning functions are possible thanks to the receiver combining GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo systems.

The Nokia G42 5G is also equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 20 W charging, which, according to the manufacturer, allows for 3 days of work. HMD Global also guarantees that the cell will retain 80% of its original capacity after 800 full charge cycles, which is enough for four years. Everything is handled by Android 13. The manufacturer promises monthly security updates for three years, and users will receive operating system updates for two years.
