HMD Global has quietly introduced updated versions of some of its Nokia feature phone models, with the new Nokia 105 4G and Nokia 110 4G 2nd Edition featuring a USB-C port instead of Micro-USB, in line with European Union regulations.

Starting December 28, only phones with USB-C connectivity can be sold in the European Union, which has also forced HMD Global to make changes if it wants to continue selling some of its products.





The Nokia 105 4G 2nd Edition and Nokia 110 4G 2nd Edition are updated versions of the 2023 Nokia 105 4G and Nokia 110 4G. In some markets, HMD Global has previously announced separate 2024 model year Nokia 105 4G (2024) and Nokia 110 4G (2024), but they have not yet been launched in Europe.
As usual, the Nokia 105 4G and Nokia 110 4G 2nd Edition are close siblings. The latter has a camera as an addition. In addition, the duo offers familiar features such as the S30 + operating system, a 1.8-inch display with a resolution of 160x120 pixels QQVGA, a flashlight, 128 MB RAM, 48 MB internal storage, a microSD memory card slot with support for cards up to 32 GB, an MP3 player, FM radio, Opera Mini web browser and a 1,450 mAh battery. Talk time reaches 8 hours, and standby time is up to 12 days.

In addition to USB-C, the phones also have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless connectivity is supported by Bluetooth 5.0. Thanks to the 4G LTE mobile network connection, the phones also support VoLTE calling.




The construction of the phones is made of polycarbonate plastic, and the durability of the duo is IP54-rated dust and splash resistance. The only color change in the case of the Nokia 105 4G 2nd Edition is charcoal black, while the Nokia 110 4G 2nd Edition is available in dark midnight blue and arctic purple. The phones measure 121.5 x 50 x 14.4 mm and weigh 93 grams for the Nokia 105 4G 2nd Edition and 94.5 grams for the Nokia 110 4G 2nd Edition.
