Ligado Networks and Nokia Mobile Communications have announced a commercial agreement to develop the industry-leading Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) enterprise private wireless network solution with Ligado Band’s 24-nation licensing spectrum for launch in the U.S. market.

January 4, 2022 – Mobile communications company Ligado Networks and Nokia announced a commercial agreement to advance the industry-leading Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) enterprise private wireless networks solution with Ligado’s Band 24 nationwide licensed spectrum for deployment in the U.S. market.
Scott Wiener, Ligado's chief strategic officer, said: "We look forward to working with Nokia to support private 4G and 5G corporate networks that utilize Ligado's spectrum." In order to meet this rapidly expanding market demand, Ligado is making commercial efforts to deploy its 35 MHz spectrum with market leaders such as Nokia, including 3GPP standardization and the company’s 1670- Ecosystem development in the 1675 MHz band.
Maqbool Aliani, Ligado’s Chief Technology Officer, said: “Ligado is looking forward to commercially supporting the deployment of our L-Band FDD spectrum platform Nokia DAC by the end of 2022 to meet the demand for efficient coverage and high bandwidth in mobile private networks. We also plan to develop additional capabilities in the TDD 1670-1675 MHz band”.
