C osmo, a source of leaks regarding new HMD products, recently shared product videos on their X profile for the HMD Salo, HMD Pulse 2, HMD Kajo, and HMD Ace smartphones; the footage also reveals a previously unseen device named "Kajo." Although the Kajo was rumored to be a fake project, its appearance in the video confirms that it is a genuine product.
Unfortunately, I do not have specific information, photos, or technical specifications for the Kajo device, but the video confirms it is a real project. The device features a 50 MP OIS camera capable of 6x lossless zoom.
Additionally, the phone allows for capturing 24 MP ultra-wide photos, which can be viewed on a 120 Hz AMOLED FHD display. Beyond these features, HMD engineers designed the device with a repairable, easily disassemblable chassis to support home repair solutions. Specifications for the HMD Pulse 2 series have already leaked and can be found in various articles, but I’ll highlight a few key details here. According to earlier leaks, the trio—comprising the Pulse 2, Pulse 2 Plus, and Pulse 2 Pro—will launch with Android 15. Targeting the budget segment, they feature modest hardware, Unisoc chipsets, and cameras up to 50MP, as showcased in the video.
Let’s start with the base model. The HMD Pulse 2 reportedly features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Unisoc T7200 chip and offers configurations with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Camera-wise, it includes a 13MP main rear sensor paired with a depth sensor, along with an 8MP selfie camera. The Pulse 2 Plus retains the same display and Unisoc T7200 chip but upgrades the main rear camera to 50MP, improving photo detail (provided the sensor and software perform well). Memory options increase to 6GB, while storage remains unchanged at 64GB or 128GB.
At the top of the lineup sits the HMD Pulse 2 Pro, which receives some significant upgrades. It swaps in a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the newer Unisoc T7250 SoC. The rear camera setup includes a macro sensor alongside the 50MP main shooter and a depth sensor, while the front camera gets a surprising 50MP resolution. The package includes more RAM (6GB or 8GB), up to 256GB of storage, and 20W fast charging support. All three phones ship with Android 15. According to the video, the release date is December 1.
The HMD Salo marks a return to the B2B segment; it is an Android 16 smartphone—not intended solely for corporate use—that comes with a promise of 5 years of updates. The device features a 6.56-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Regarding the camera setup, HMD Global has opted for a 50-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel main camera, complemented by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery that supports charging speeds of up to 33 watts.
On the software front, the Salo 5G runs Android 16. HMD Global promises years of security updates—a key selling point for business support, as long-term update commitments make the device suitable for use in corporate fleets. HMD Global has not yet released information regarding the Salo 5G's price or sales partners. Finally, take a look at the specifications and the video for the HMD Ace; the device features a 6.67-inch OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Although it boasts decent specifications, the smartphone—set to be named the HMD Ace 5G—is not expected to launch until 2026.
