HMD Global has made the HMD Terra M available in several European countries, a compact, rugged smartphone designed for organizations that need reliable communications in harsh and sensitive environments.
The Terra M features a 2.8-inch glove-friendly touchscreen, a high-output speaker, and programmable Push to Talk and emergency buttons. The phone runs enterprise software that supports quick setup, pre-installed enterprise apps, and seamless mobile device management enrollment.

Jean-François Baril, HMD founder and CEO, said that the Terra M and Ivalo XE reinforce the company’s plan to build secure, resilient, and sovereign mobility solutions for mission-critical purposes.
The phone is designed to withstand harsh environments. It is designed to meet MIL-STD-810H requirements and is IP68 and IP69K certified. It can handle drops of up to 1.8 meters. Connectivity support includes 4G, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, hotspot mode, NFC, dual SIM, and eSIM. The Terra M is powered by Qualcomm’s Dragonwing QCM2290 chipset and will receive five years of quarterly security updates starting from its global launch. Battery performance offers up to 10 days of standby time with optimized power management.
HMD is also launching mission-ready accessories. These include a stackable charging stand that connects up to 10 devices, and a rugged belt clip case for quick access during field work or shifts.
