HMD Global today unveiled its latest smartphone, the HMD Fusion, an affordable device whose idea is to change functions and style with a shell. This is how the HMD Fusion will initially be distributed, but additional devices will be available later this year.

As you can see, HMD Global is working hard to expand the line of HMD-branded devices, several of which have been leaked again and are available for everyone to see around the world. More specifications and photos, new images of the devices and great devices in the listings that we can buy in stores soon.
On X (formerly Twitter), a tipster known as @smashx_60 has flooded us with information about HMD. One of his latest leaks suggests that HMD may be working on a second Venom phone, although the listing only lists this device with Android 12. It may be worse than the Fusion phone that is already available in stores.

Here is a new phone whose name has already been leaked (in the past few days you can read specifications of an unnamed device) which is called "Orca". I found a movie called Orca online, in which the female protagonist finds solace and redemption in the water after a family problem, and soon makes her mark as a swimmer with formidable endurance. I don't think HMD would name its new device after this movie, but we can't rule out this possibility either. The movie is the story of Elham Asghari and her struggle for recognition in sports. There is also another "Orca" movie, which is also about a killer whale.
In addition to the "Orca" phone, HMD Global will also launch its previously announced HMD T21 tablet in a new "ice" color, if everything is true, it will be available in stores from December 25th. @smashx_60 shared photos of the device, as well as a photo of a device with a new circular camera design that mimics the old Lumia 1020 smartphone with the camera design. Perhaps, we will soon see such a smartphone from HMD in the future, which I think will happen only in 2025. Similar to the first leaked device, the Lumia 1020 will supposedly have a triple camera setup. Details of the cameras are still uncertain, but the tipster mentions some possible specifications.

Perhaps the best news today is the expected appearance of the HMD Crest 5G and Crest Max 5G devices in Asian and global markets, which are currently only available to customers in Indian stores. The base model has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ resolution OLED display, behind which is a Unisoc T760 chipset, along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The storage can be expanded at any time via a micro SD card. The smartphone has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back, which is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The main interesting feature of the phone is also the 50-megapixel front camera. When taking self-portraits, the exposure can be changed with all kinds of gestures. The back of the phone is made of glass, the design itself has received some minimal protection against splashing water in accordance with the IP52 rating. The power supply is provided by a 5000 mAh battery, which supports 33-watt charging, and the necessary adapter is included in the device box.

In addition to the USB-C port, the headset output, the aforementioned 5G, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 are also part of the equipment. The smartphone runs Android 14, and according to the manufacturer's promise, there will be no unnecessary pre-installed applications in the software. The company only promises 2 years of security patches for the mobile, and does not mention major versions.
The Max model provides essentially the same, that is, the 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display, the Unisoc T760 chipset, the 50-megapixel front camera, the 5G modem and the design that meets the IP52 rating. It will perhaps be simpler if we take a look at the differences. One is that in addition to the chipset that powers the mobile, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage are added during assembly, there is no other configuration.

The rear camera set is also slightly better. A 64-megapixel module is placed on the front, then a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle unit is added, which is missing from the basic model, and we also get a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The smartphone also gets the Android 14 operating system, with the same support as the basic model. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which is rated for 800 charge cycles, just like the base model. The maximum charging speed is also 33 watts, and the necessary adapter is included in the box of this mobile.
The biggest selling point of the HMD Crest devices is what the manufacturer calls “Gen 1 repairability”. This means that many components can be easily replaced by owners at home, by themselves. Such components include the screen, the battery, the charger connector and the back cover. All you need is a tool kit and a guide for the interventions.
