W ith its usual method, MEME has leaked the specifications of the not yet officially presented HMD KEY2 and HMD ARC2 smartphones, which you can see below. Considering the specifications, I would classify these smartphones in the lower category, which HMD Global is still not going to conquer the mobile market with.
Based on the data provided, these devices will be cheap devices that almost anyone can buy, which even the poorest people will be able to buy in stores. I believe that HMD is also striving to do this, to bring its phones to as many customers as possible.

If you look a little deeper into the specifications, you can see that both devices have an IPS 6.5", 60Hz qHD display, they only differ in the display resolution, which in the case of the KEY2 is 1280*576 while the ARC2 has a resolution of 1560*720. Here, I would rather complain about the only 60Hz screen refresh rate, because almost all mobile phones have a minimum of 100Hz. The camera of both devices is only 13MP + depth / 5MP, which I would rather not write anything about.
Unfortunately, it is certain that HMD will not shake up the mobile world with these devices either... With this, HMD Global will not be included in the Top 5 or even the Top 10 sales lists, which will continue to remain "invisible"...
If I remember correctly, HMD was not included in Counterpoint's sales statistics yet. First quarter sales of 2025 The Apple iPhone 16 was now the best-selling smartphone in Q1 2025, marking the return of the base iPhone series to the top spot in Q1 after a two-year hiatus.
