B oth smartphones are expected to come with Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor and 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. After the recent launch of its affordable Vibe 2 5G smartphone in India, HMD is on its way to expand its C series. The brand is preparing two new smartphones, which are rumored to be the HMD C2 and C2 Plus. Now, a new leak reveals the design, specifications, and price of the phones, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Both 5G phones are expected to join the brand's mid-range lineup. According to the leak, both will use the same design, a square camera island with dual camera cutouts. While the vanilla model will be available in light mint, midnight blue, and lavender colors, the P variant will be available in coral, royal blue, and jade green colors.
Of the two, the P model is expected to offer better specifications. It is tipped to cost around €200 (GBP 172, USD 232, INR 21,957). The standard model, on the other hand, is said to start at €149 (GBP 128, USD 173, INR 16,356).

A trusted tipster @smashx_60 shared posts that revealed key specifications and live images of the upcoming HMD C2, which is codenamed TA-1X2X and C2 Plus, codenamed TA-1X3X.

Starting with the HMD C2, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ sAMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The smartphone could be powered by the budget Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, 6GB + 128GB or 6GB + 256GB storage, and a 6,000mAh battery that can support 33W charging.

Optically, the standard HMD C2 is expected to come with a 50MP main camera, 2MP and 0.3MP secondary lenses. A 50MP selfie shooter is expected to be the game-changer at the front. On the software front, the phone could also come with Android 16 out of the box, along with other specs like IP54 certification, OZO sound system, 3.5mm jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both phones could also feature dual stereo speakers.

The HMD C2 Plus shares most of the aforementioned specs, except it could come with a brighter and smoother 120Hz, 1,500-nit display. It could also feature a better 64MP main camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor. It could also boast a better IP65 rating, a higher 8GB + 256GB base storage.
In terms of colors, the HMD C2 could be available in light mint, midnight blue, and lavender, while the C2 Plus could be available in coral, royal blue, and jade green. The upcoming HMD phones are quite similar in design from the back, the main difference being that the HMD C2 has a glossy back, while the C2 Plus comes with a matte finish.
Although HMD has not officially unveiled or hinted at the smartphones yet, considering that the phones have already been launched globally, their launch is expected to be set in the coming months.
