HMD Global has spent most of the year releasing big-name phones, but one style has been missing from the mix. The company's last true clamshell device arrived over a year ago, so those who still love the flip phone form factor have been waiting for it. Now, a fresh leak suggests that HMD is finally ready to bring back this classic design, with a twist that could make it appealing to more than just traditional feature phone users.
According to leaker smashx_60, HMD is working on the HMD 2760 Flip 4G. It takes clear inspiration from the Nokia 2760 Flip that was released in 2022. You're looking at the same dual-display system: a 2.8" main LCD on the inside, a 1.77" cover screen on the outside. There's a 5MP autofocus rear camera with an LED flash, as well as a basic VGA camera on the front.

The big difference is the software. The original Nokia 2760 Flip ran KaiOS 3.1, but the new HMD version is rumored to come with Icon OS 13, which is based on Android 13 Go. This would mean Google Mobile Services, the Play Store, and a wider selection of apps would be available, essentially turning the classic flip phone into a lightweight, simple smartphone instead of a pure feature phone. The usual Snake game is also said to come pre-installed.
Under the hood, we expect a Unisoc T310 processor (a 12nm quad-core chip with one Cortex-A75 core clocked at around 2GHz, along with three Cortex-A55 cores), 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. There's microSD space for expansion up to 128GB. The battery is a 2,500mAh unit, which is a clear improvement over the 1,450mAh cell in the 2022 Nokia model. Other practical touches include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, Wi-Fi with hotspot support, Bluetooth, an SOS button, and a touchpad.
The color options are listed as black, cyan, and pink. HMD's last clamshell, the HMD 2660 Flip, was launched at MWC Barcelona in March 2025, and remains a fairly conventionally equipped phone. The 2760 Flip 4G would therefore be a decent step up in capabilities while retaining the nostalgic foldable design.
